Train on the Filisur Viaduct — Engadine — Publisher Ernst B. Leutwiler, no. 3037

Description

Black-and-white view of a steam train crossing a stone viaduct in a mountainous landscape. Printed German text on the reverse indicates that this is a 'Gemischter Zug' on the RhB line between Landwasser and Schmitten, shortly after its opening in 1903. The reverse also features the publisher 'Ernst B. Leutwiler, Engadin' and a Swiss 55-cent postage stamp with a Filisur cancellation dated 7.8.1989.
