View of the entrance to the beach in Aix-les-Bains, with an imposing post bearing the inscription 'LA PLAGE' and people in period attire. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 1953 addressed to Jean, describing the arrival in Aix-les-Bains and the landscape. A 15-centime French Republic postmark, cancelled in Aix-les-Bains.
