Description

Color aerial view of the Saint-Jean church in Caen, severely damaged after World War II bombings, with its imposing bell tower and partially collapsed façade. The reverse shows a postcard sent on 23 May 1959 from Caen, with a 15-franc stamp and postmark 'CAEN VÉTÉRAN 12-5-1959'. The address is to Melle Garcos in Nantes, with a handwritten message: 'Bon voyage, Beau temps, Baisers'.
