Black and white view of a narrow paved street lined with old buildings, with a sign reading 'LOWER CASTLE STREET'. On the reverse, handwritten text describing Chambery as a 'charming town' with narrow streets and beautiful buildings, addressed to 'Madame Lorette Moreau' in Paris. A 5-franc stamp and a Chambery postmark from July 7, 1959.
