View of a timber-framed castle with a slate roof, surrounded by trees and a garden. On the reverse, printed text mentioning the castle as the place where General Joffre issued his decisive order during the Battle of the Marne in 1914-1918. Postal dispatch dated May 29, 1937, stamped with 2.20 francs, addressed to Denise Del-Frate in Tournai, with a postmark from Belleville.
