Description

Reproduction of a painting by Jacques-Louis David (1749–1825) depicting the coronation of Napoleon I at Notre-Dame de Paris on December 2, 1804, with Queen Joséphine on her knees. The reverse has a handwritten letter from 'Gérald' to 'Chers tous' dated December 28, 1940, sent from Paris to Calviéra, with a 40-centime French postage stamp and a Sauvegarde cancellation.
