View of the Old Port in Marseille with many fishing boats and people on the dock. On the reverse, a handwritten letter from B. Laponche to M. Paul Ventrois, addressed to the École de la Policière in Paris, dated November 13, 1948, with a 10-centime postage stamp and a cancellation 'MARSEILLE 13 XI 48'.
