Description

Black and white view of a statue of the Virgin on a rocky summit, with the snow-capped massif of Mont Blanc and the valley of the Arve in the background. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to 'My dear Jacqueline' describing the statue as a symbol of the Virgin Mary, located at 3000 meters, and mentioning the presence of Jacques in the vicinity of Paris. The stamp and postmark are illegible.
