Black and white portrait of a woman wearing a Sablais costume with a highly ornate lace headpiece and matching collar. The reverse indicates the publisher 'Editions Gaby', an address in Sables-d'Olonne, and a handwritten letter addressed to Monsieur Victorien Bernard in Bassac. A postmark from Sables-d'Olonne dated June 20, 1956, is affixed.
