Black and white view of pines along the sea at Saint-Jean-de-Monts, with printed text at the bottom right: 'JELY'. On the reverse, handwritten text mentions 'Saint-Jean-de-Monts (Vendée)' and 'The Sea Through the Pines', addressed to Madame D'ICHETEV at the Hôtel Calypso in Soulac-sur-Mer. A 20 centimes postage stamp of the French Republic is affixed, with a postmark from Saint-Jean-de-Monts dated August 15, 1950.
