Description

Postcard depicting Sospeu with a view of the medieval bridge, mountainous landscapes, and a coat of arms. Printed text: "SOSPEL: Located in a green setting (olive groves and chestnut forests) surrounded by mountains, is crossed by the Gévera. The Vievre Bridge dates from the Middle Ages. It is a center for walks and varied and picturesque excursions." Reverse: handwritten letter from Chérie Thénié to her mother, dated September 14, 1949, describing her arrival in Sospeu and her appreciation of the village, with mention of the publisher "Les Éditions 'MAP'" and a postal stamp of 85.31 francs.
