Religious procession in Alexandria, with a sacred carpet carried in an ornate cart, framed by soldiers and civilians. On the back, a handwritten letter dated May 9, 1917, signed 'Votre papa Courbon', addressed to 'Mes chères petites Zézette et Minimia'.
