Bilingual text (English/French) explains their function and their preservation at the Canadian Museum of Postal History. Front: Canada 40¢ stamp, cancellation 'MONTREAL 23 APR 1961', handwritten address to 'VILLE DE MONTRÉAL', and municipal cancellation 'GREFFE 26 APR 91'.
