Postcard illustrating the S.S. Canadian, the first steamship of the Royal Mail Steamers, launched in July 1854 and making its first Canadian voyage in May 1856 before breaking up on the Saint-Laurent in June 1857. The back bears a handwritten address to Sept-Îles, Ontario, and a Canada 37 stamp canceled.
