Description

Postcard illustrating the steamer Bonnington, launched in 1911 for the CPR postal service on Arrow, Kootenay, and Okanagan lakes, transferred to the B.C. government in 1931 and demolished in 1946. Bilingual text in English and French. Front: handwritten address to Ottawa for Mrs. C. Woverieff, Department of Honours and Documents, with Canada 32 stamp and postmark. Back: explanatory text on the steamer's role in postal transport.
