Description

Illustrated postcard depicting the Bonnington steam engine, launched in 1911 for postal service on Arrow, Kootenay, and Chararagan lakes by the CPR, then transferred to the government of British Columbia in 1931 and dismantled in 1946. The reverse indicates the publisher PLEGGISVILLE and handwritten correspondence to Ottawa. Canada 32 postmark with cancellation 'MESSISVILLE 9 11 84'.
