Postcard illustrating the S.S. Canadian, the first steamship of the Royal Mail Steamers, launched in July 1854 and making its first voyage in May 1856 before breaking up on the Saint-Laurent in June 1857. The back indicates the sender's address to the C.S.T. Foundation in Toronto, Ontario, and bears a Canada 38 stamp with a cancellation from Georgetown, Nova Scotia.
