Description

Illustrated postcard depicting the wheel and paddle steamship Bonnington, launched in 1911 by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company in Nakusp, operating on Kootenay, Arrow, and Okanagan lakes until 1931, then transferred to the provincial government in 1942 and demolished in 1946. The reverse mentions the publisher Canada Post and bilingual text describing the ship's history. The postmark is addressed to the Ambassador in Ferndale, Ont., with a Canada 32 stamp canceled in Kelowna.
