Description

Indian postcard dated 1938, sent from Cachar to Sangor, with a 9 pence stamp depicting King George V and a postmark 'INDIA CACHAR 28 AUG 35'. The back contains handwritten correspondence in Devanagari script, including an address to 'Chintaman Durgapersad' and information about a telephone and address in Cawnpore. The handwriting is dense and covers most of the surface.
