Description

Indian postcard dated 1939, with a 9 pence stamp depicting King George V, and text entirely written in Devanagari script. The reverse has a circular cancellation from Delhi and an English inscription indicating that the card is intended solely for reply. The handwritten text covers the entire surface, including the address lines.
