Description

Indian postcard dated January 9, 1939, franked with a 9 pice stamp depicting King George V, with a circular cancellation 'DELHI 9 JAN 39'. The reverse features handwritten correspondence in Devanagari script addressed to Sheo Chandrani in Bijanagar, with a note 'ADDRESS ONLY' and a postmark from 'Gwalior'. At the bottom, a tariff table for grain and seed merchants in Gwalior, with prices in rupees and anna.
