Description

Indian postcard dated 1911, franked with a green 1/2 anna stamp featuring a sun motif surrounded by two snakes, and bearing a circular postmark of Calcutta. The reverse is fully covered with handwritten text in Bengali script, with 'INDIA POSTAGE' and 'ADDRESS ONLY' printed. The printed text on the front indicates 'INDIA POST CARD' and 'THE ANNEXED CARD IS FOR THE ANSWER'.
