Description

British registered envelope of type H, dated around 1971, with an octagonal 17½p stamp depicting Queen Elizabeth II and the inscription 'EXTRA 5½P PAID'. The reverse details the compensation conditions for sending within and outside the country, with mention of a special rate for international registered letters from July 1971. The envelope is intended to be handed to a postal officer to obtain a receipt.
