British postcard from the Universal Postal Union, dated August 29, 1888, sent from London to New Haven, Connecticut. The back contains handwritten correspondence from J. B. Allen to a recipient in New Haven, mentioning a volume of 'Thomas Barrow' and a request for information about a lieutenant-colonel. The stamp is a 1d brown with a London postmark.
