View of the Tower of Trèves in Saumur, with printed text describing its construction in 1431 by Robert the Mason. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated February 16, 1909, signed 'Elise Couvant', addressed to her 'Dear Comies', mentioning ongoing repairs and the closure of the garden. Red 10 centimes stamp of the French Republic, cancelled in Saint-Aignan (Loir-et-Cher).
