View of the Guinette Tower in Etampes, with its imposing ruins and a small house in the foreground. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated August 27, 1916, addressed to a wounded soldier at the Blanquefort hospital, with a stamp and cancellation from Giry (Yonne) dated August 18, 1916.
