View of the Arlette fountain in Falaise, with printed text recounting the legend that Robert the Magnificent, on his way back from a hunt, fell in love with Arlette de Verprey, daughter of a potter, and that their son William the Conqueror was born in September 1027. The reverse side indicates the publisher G. Artaud, Nantes, and the edition Gaby, with a trademark.
