Illustrated card depicting Charles Martel (c. 685–741), with a 14th-century miniature from the « Grandes Chroniques de France » on the reverse. The front shows a historical scene with several figures in colorful robes. The reverse details his political and military career, including his victory at Poitiers in 732 and his role in the foundation of the Carolingian kingdom. The illustration is attributed to the Goya Museum, Castres, and printed in Italy in 1980.
