Description

Beach scene at Fouras-les-Bains at the beginning of the 20th century, with bathers and promenaders on the sand, a fortified building in the background, and a French flag. Printed text at the bottom: 'FOURAS-les-BAINS — The Beach at Bathing Time'. Reverse: handwritten address to Mademoiselle Augustine Pommer, Rue L'Evessot, St Jean d'Angely, with a 5-centime green stamp and a postmark 'NANTES 18.7.19XX'.
