View of Gérardmer lake with two people in a boat in the middle of the water, in front of a wooded hill. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 11 April 1916, addressed to an uncle, describing the village and surroundings as pleasant and magnificent. Postmark and delivery stamp visible.
