View of the ruins of Gerbéviller-la Martyre after World War I (1914-1916), with collapsed buildings and an old car on a muddy road. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated December 12, 1916, addressed to Chéris Couvreur in Albertsoult, mentioning the difficulties of life in the trenches and family news.
