Description

Panoramic view of Margate beach, with many swimmers and boats on the sea, under a cloudy sky. At the bottom left, the inscription 'The Sands, Margate.' is printed. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 25.9.11, sent from Thornton Heath (Surrey) to Mademoiselle Przewóská at Lyje-sur-Seine (Amble), with two dark green 1 penny stamps and a postmark.
