Description

Postcard showing a commemorative stone monument with inscriptions in French and English, dedicated to the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The reverse contains handwritten English correspondence about the course of the battle, as well as the publisher 'The Sussex Photo Co., Hastings' and partial cancellation. The main inscription mentions the foundation of the abbey in 1903.
