Description

Engraved illustration of the biblical scene of the boat of Peter, with Jesus sleeping and the disciples in distress, accompanied by the text « O Lord, save us, we are perishing » (Mt 8,25) and « I sleep, but my heart is awake » (Mt 5,2). The reverse is a mourning card for Philippe-Eugène-Marie Le Pontois, who died in Lorient on March 11, 1873, with biblical verses and the publisher Bonamy, Publisher in Poitiers.
