Description

Indian postcard dated August 25, 1947, franked with a 9 pence (Half Anna) stamp with portrait of King George VI. The reverse has a handwritten Devanagari address to Jajpur, as well as an English correspondence addressed to 'Dear Panditji'. The circular cancellation indicates 'JAJPUR BELY. 25 AUG 47 2 30 P.M.' and the printed text 'POST CARD ADDRESS ONLY'.
