The front contains a handwritten letter from Ritu Bodhi expressing her love for journalism despite low pay, and her desire to see her name in the press. The back is written by a correspondent in Patar, who congratulates Ritu on completing her course and asks her to bring books for the correspondence course. The 15 rupee stamp and the Udaipur postmark are visible.
