Description

Postcard dated 1995, sent from Chengalpattu (India) to Allahabad, where the recipient is a woman suffering from leprosy, describing her miserable situation and requesting financial help. The reverse has a handwritten letter in English and Tamil, addressed to 'Respected Janab', requesting help to support her family's needs. A 15 rupee stamp with the tiger is affixed at the top right.
