Indian postcard dated August 6, 1955, sent from Sambhar Lake (Rajasthan) to Jullundur City, with a 9 pence stamp depicting a Hindu deity. The reverse contains a handwritten letter in English addressed to 'Mrs. Ayana Ram Yogdhyam' to order a salt wagon for September. The Salt Merchants' Society stamp from Sambhar Lake is visible on the front.
