Description

Blue postcard dated 1978, sent by a 65-year-old leprosy-afflicted woman, a widow with no income, from Pidilipakkam (Chennai), to a recipient in Allahabad. The back contains a plea for aid for the month of Ramzan, signed with a fingerprint stamp. The front has a 15-rupee stamp with the effigy of a tiger, and handwritten addresses in English and Hindi.
