Description

Indian registered envelope dated 1947, addressed to the Manager of the Branch of the State Bank of India in Ludhiana. Printed text in Hindi and English indicates the cost of the envelope (10 paise) and instructions for depositing at the post office. On the reverse, instructions in Hindi and English for mandatory registration and obtaining a receipt. Red 50 paise stamp and postmark from Talwandi.
