Description

Indian registered envelope dated 1947, addressed to the Governor of the State Bank of India in Ludhiana. Printed text in Hindi and English indicates the cost of the envelope (10 paise) and instructions for registration. A 10 paise stamp with a deer, postmarked with a circular stamp from Chulhia. Reverse: instructions in Hindi and English for registration and obtaining a receipt.
