Description

Registered envelope dated around 1950, sent from Gurdaspur to New Delhi, addressed to the Assistant Collector of Customs. Printed text in English and Hindi indicates the cost of the envelope (10 paise) and instructions for registration. On the reverse, instructions in Hindi and English specify that the letter must be handed to a post office officer for registration and receipt. Two 20 paise stamps are affixed, with a postmark from Gurdaspur.
