Description

Indian registered envelope dated November 2, 1947, addressed to the Assistant of Customs at Kotla Marg, New Delhi. Printed text in Hindi and English indicates the cost of the envelope (10 paise) and instructions for depositing it with the post office officer. The reverse specifies that the letter must be handed over to a post office officer to be registered and to obtain a receipt.
