Description

Indian registered letter envelope dated 1948, with a green 20 paise stamp and postal mark 'INDIA'; printed text in Hindi and English indicating 'REGISTERED LETTER' and 'COST OF ENVELOPE 10 PAISE'. Reverse: instructions in Hindi and English for registration and obtaining a receipt. Handwritten address to New Delhi, with a postal office stamp '724' and note 'RL 724 1941/128'.
