Description

Black and white view of the Creuse River in Argenton-sur-Creuse, with houses along the banks and trees in the background. On the reverse, a handwritten note dated June 15, 1940, addressed to Mr. Rasul Laurielle in Mont-de-Marsan, with a mention of the Dordogne post office. Two dark blue 40-centime stamps of the French Republic are affixed at the top right, with a visible obliteration 'DEIA SES EX'.
