Description

Representation of the Arras tapestries from the 15th century, illustrating the flight of David to Egypt on the left, and on the right, the destruction of the idol of Dagon and the massacre of the Innocents and the grandchildren of Athaliah. Printed text at the bottom of the scene details the scenes. Reverse: French 25 centimes postage stamp canceled in Lyon, handwritten address to Madame Ligot in Lyon, Rhône, and inscription 'Souvenir de Sandalade' in cursive handwriting.
