Black and white view of a two-masted sailing ship in the Avant-Port of Le Havre under a cloudy sky, with two people on board. Printed text at the bottom: '19. LE HAVRE — Effect of the Moon in the Avant-Port'. Reverse: handwritten address to M. Robert Lasmon in Mont-Louis (Aiguan), dated May 16, 1909, with a 5-centime green stamp and partially erased postmark.
