Description

Bronze bas-relief depicting soldiers in action, with a general in the center raising his arm. Printed text at the bottom: 'LE MANS. — Bas-Relief of the Statue of General Chanzy.' On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated May 7, 1915, addressed to 'Machéri, young woman,' signed 'D. M.' and sent by the 'Anciens Étab. Neubréein et Cie — E. Crété, Succ. Corbeil-Paris'.
