Colorized view of Mont-Saint-Michel from the southeast, with its religious buildings and abbey perched on its rocky spur. Three fishermen carrying baskets walk in shallow water in the foreground. On the reverse, a handwritten address to Monsieur and Madame Duveaur in Saint-Aubin-de-Logré, a 20-centime French Republic stamp, and a postmark from Laon.
