German military postcard dated 1944, sent from Günzlhofen (Türtchenfeldbrück) to Brooklyn, U.S.A., with German Reich stamps (4, 8, 12 pfennigs) and a cancellation stamp 'Günzlhofen'. The reverse shows a military inspection strip with the inscription 'Geöffnet' and the stamp 'Oberkommando der Wehrmacht', indicating that the mail was opened by military authorities. The handwritten address is directed to 'Schramm' in Brooklyn, N.Y., U.S.A.
